"ALL THE BEST, SHOWING CLASS ON AND OFF THE PITCH"- ERLING HAALAND'S FATHER RESPONDS TO THE MOCKING OF HIS SON.
Erling Haaland's father, Alf-Inge, has hit back at Paris Saint-Germain's players for mocking his son after their victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
During the first leg at Dortmund, Haaland's "Zen" celebration had widely became an internet meme. The match was won by Dortmund for 2-1. Haaland scored a brace while Neymar gave PSG an away goal. Before the second leg match Haaland put a Snapchat picture along with a caption-"My city, not yours". Later it was found fake. But it enlighted rage on PSG players. During the second leg they mocked him with the"Zen" celebration after their win 2-0 victory (3-2 on aggregate) over Dortmund. After the match Neymar posted a picture on social media with the caption" PARIS is our city, not yours". Alf-Inge responded to it by saying-“Goodbye beautiful Paris,” Haaland senior tweeted, responding to footage of the PSG player’s dressing room celebrations. Shame about the result, but well deserved on the day. All the best, showing class on and off the pitch.”
His son was up to ten goals in the Champions League, having scored eight
in the group stage for former club RB Salzburg, before adding two more
for Dortmund following his January move.
Haaland is one of the rising stars and has further underlined his potential following an excellent start to
life with Dortmund, with 12 goals in his first 11 appearances for the
club.
