TRANSFER NEWS: RONALDO WANTS JUVENTUS EXIT

.
The report claims Ronaldo has an offer from Ligue 1 champions PSG, who want to partner the five-time Ballon d'Or winner with Kylian Mbappe.

Ronaldo has also received a proposal from former club United and the 35-year-old wants to restore the glory days at Old Trafford, though it depends on Champions League qualification.

The news has come about courtesy of AS, as they report Cristiano Ronaldo is eyeing a move away from Juventus this summer. It’s reported that he has been shown interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, which may have swayed his decision.
Cristiano Ronaldo is nearing the end of his career and it would be a surprise to me if he did retire in Italy. It was actually in Manchester where the young Portuguese boy made a real name for himself, and it is with United that he gained the attention of Real Madrid. The rest, as they say, is history.

Ronaldo has had a successful stint at Juventus. Although the country is on lockdown and the Serie A has been postponed, he is still the talk of the town in Turin as he always has been since his arrival.

This season, Ronaldo has been scoring goals for fun, which comes as no surprise even given his age. The Juventus forward has scored 21 Italian top-flight goals, only the incredible Ciro Immobile (27) has scored more. This just goes to show that class ages like fine wine.

If Ronaldo did ever return to Manchester United, he would slot straight into their starting XI. This goes without saying, Ronaldo is one of the greatest players of all time and he needs no introducing to the United supporters. Even given his age, he is levels above what they already have in attack.

Personally, I think it would take a lot of doing. Manchester United would certainly need to qualify for the Champions League next season and they would need to provide proof they are heading in the right direction.

UEFA propose dates for Champions League and Europa League finals UEFA are also looking to play all outstanding ties over one leg if necessary, as clubs await an update on when the competition will restart. UEFA are exploring the possibility of playing the Champions League final on the last Saturday in August. The report also claims that there have been discussions about provisionally playing the quarter-final matches from July 28/29, with the rest of the competition concluded in August. While Europa League ties would  be played in the same weeks - but there are still 10 Round of 16 matches to factor into the planning...
Pre mier League could return by mid-June in 'best-case scenario' Premier League clubs have discussed resuming the season on the weekend of 13-14 June after Uefa wrote to domestic associations stating a desire they should finish their competitions by 31 July to leave August clear for the completion of the Champions League and Europa League. The letter from European football’s governing body formed the basis of a two-hour conference call on Friday that explored how the Premier League may be concluded. While any resumption is being modelled on matches occurring behind closed doors, guiding the decision-making is the overriding principle that the National Health Service’s ability to treat those with Covid-19 should not be compromised and that it has to be at ease with the top-flight restart...
