TOP GOAL SCORERS IN THE TOP 5 LEAGUES THIS SEASON

TOP GOAL SCORERS IN THE TOP 5 LEAGUES THIS SEASON As most of the leagues are coming to an end lets see the top goal scorers of the top 5 leagues. PREMIER LEAGUE Harry Kane leads the race with 19 goals. Mohammed Salah comes second with 18 goals and Bruno Fernandes comes third with 1 goals LA LIGA Lionel Messi leads the race with 23 goals as he is eyeing another Pichichi trophy.  Gerrard Moreno and Luis Suarez comes second with 19 goals each. SERIE A Cristiano Ronaldo leads the race with 25 goals.  Romelu Lukaku comes second with 21 goals and Luis Muriel comes third with 18 goals. BUNDESLIGA Robert Lewangoalski as they say leads the race. He has scored 35 goals, 13 more than anyone in Bundesliga this season. Andre Silva comes second with 22 goals and Erling Haaland comes third with 21 goals. LIGUE 1 2018 World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe leads the race with 20 goals.  Ben Yedder and Boulaye Dia comes second and third with 15 and 14 goals respectively.

WHAT WILL MESSI AND RONALDO DO AFTER FOOTBALL?

The two legends are on the verge of retirement. Ronaldo has turned 35 this year while Messi turns 33 on July. Their retirement will be a great loss for the football world. It will also be a great loss. Both Ronaldo and Messi can play for as long as they like at whatever level they choose; Ronaldo’s reinvention as a centre-forward in Real Madrid’s successful Champions League campaign produced one of the most satisfying periods of his career, while Messi, though two-and-a-half-years younger, is already drifting deeper in matches, alluding to a more withdrawn role in future.

But when this duo chooses to extricate themselves from the game, the players that come afterwards must be assessed independently. There is nothing to be gained, for example, from like-for-like scoring stats with Messi, Ronaldo, and anyone else. It’s why the ‘versus’ debate has dragged on monotonously. They can only be placed in comparison to one another, any other matchup is meaningless. Therefore, a Barcelona forward enjoying a 25-goal season must be evaluated in isolation, not with the caveat, ‘well, Messi scored 50’. Likewise, Madrid’s next record transfer – be it Kylian Mbappe or another heir – shouldn’t be targeting Ronaldo’s all-time goalscoring record. Instead, the focus should be on being the best player he can be.

Ronaldo is beloved in his home country, Portugal. So he could become a politician after he retires. But he said that he does not expect to become a coach. Messi could start a small business. His mother is already working in a small magnet manufacturing company. So he can help his mother with her work. Ronaldo has his own brand: The CR7. The brand has numerous things like perfumes, boots, clothes etc. Ronaldo might carry on it. He also has a lot of fans in social media. So he can be a sponsor for other brands.

Their retirement will make a huge hole which cannot be covered by anyone. So lets watch their matches with pride and without comparing them.

Pre mier League could return by mid-June in 'best-case scenario' Premier League clubs have discussed resuming the season on the weekend of 13-14 June after Uefa wrote to domestic associations stating a desire they should finish their competitions by 31 July to leave August clear for the completion of the Champions League and Europa League. The letter from European football’s governing body formed the basis of a two-hour conference call on Friday that explored how the Premier League may be concluded. While any resumption is being modelled on matches occurring behind closed doors, guiding the decision-making is the overriding principle that the National Health Service’s ability to treat those with Covid-19 should not be compromised and that it has to be at ease with the top-flight restart...
UEFA propose dates for Champions League and Europa League finals UEFA are also looking to play all outstanding ties over one leg if necessary, as clubs await an update on when the competition will restart. UEFA are exploring the possibility of playing the Champions League final on the last Saturday in August. The final was due to be played at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul on May 30, but that date was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. However, according to a report in The Telegraph, the final could now be pushed back to August 29 - while the Europa League final in Gdansk has been provisionally earmarked to take place three days earlier. The report also claims that there have been discussions about provisionally playing the quarter-final matches from July 28/29, with the rest of the competition concluded in August. While Europa League ties would  be played in the same weeks - but there are still 10 Round of 16 matches to factor into the planning...
