TRANSFER NEWS:  SANCHO TO MANCHESTER UNITED LATEST, AUBAMEYANG LEAVING ARSENAL

English football has been suspended ‘indefinitely’ amidst the coronavirus crisis, and while there are hopes to resume the season in June, speculation around potential transfer for the 2020-21 season remains in full swing.

1 Real Madrid join Aubameyang race

It looks increasingly like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be leaving Arsenal this summer and Spain's top two are the two keenest admirers.

Aubameyang is fed up with a lack of Champions League football and  Barcelona and Real Madrid are ready to give it to him... but only if they fail to sign Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez.

The Argentine is both clubs' no.1 transfer target, report Sport, with Aubameyang coming in second. Martinez only has eyes of Barcelona, and compatriot Lionel Messi, however, meaning Zinedine Zidane is ready to step up his attempts to sign Aubameyang.

2 Sane close to Bayern switch

A serious knee injury saw the move collapse last summer but, 12 months on, Leroy Sane could finally get his move to Bayern Munich.

The Mirror report that Manchester City would be willing to accept £70m for the winger, which is around half of the asking price after Sane missed the entire season - thus far - on the sidelines with just one year left on his deal.

Representatives of the player are understood to be behind the fresh push away from the Etihad.

3 Jadon Sancho latest

Manchester United are favourites to sign Jadon Sancho this summer.

Well-placed sources at Dortmund view United as the favourites to land the 20-year-old England star, who would solve Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's problems on the right-hand side of attack.

Now, The Athletic suggests that United are Sancho's number one choice, with the forward "very interested" in moving to Old Trafford.

Real Madrid could still make a late play, but it looks as if United and Sancho is odds-on this summer.

Pre mier League could return by mid-June in 'best-case scenario' Premier League clubs have discussed resuming the season on the weekend of 13-14 June after Uefa wrote to domestic associations stating a desire they should finish their competitions by 31 July to leave August clear for the completion of the Champions League and Europa League.
